The Alternative Christmas Market 2017

The Alternative Christmas Market

The Alternative Christmas Market has 50 stalls representing the best of the North East's charitable, upcycled, fairtrade, ethical and locally sourced goods. From larger organisations like Oxfam and Traidcraft to smaller producers showcasing jewellery from Nepal, or upcycled furniture and knitwear, this is the place to buy original, thoughtful and ethical gifts this Christmas and to learn more about organisations that work in this sector.

The Market takes place on the 18th November 2017, 10.00pm till 3.00pm at Holy Trinity Church, Jesmond. Admission is free and there is a pop-up fairtrade cafe.

As a church we support fairtrade values and we aim, through organising the annual Market, to increase awareness of the huge range of quality, ethical, alternative Christmas gifts that are on offer and the organisations that work in this area of trade justice. We also want to showcase some amazing local craftsmanship and support small ethical producers in the North East.

The Alternative Christmas Market is a great November weekend experience! You can find regular updates on the facebook page, or contact us here for more information.
